Chase Brice fired a 53-yard scoring strike to Christan Horn on the final play of the game and App State pulled off an improbable win over Troy in a Sun Belt Conference opener.
The way App State fans reacted is clear as day as they rushed the field to celebrate.
Troy fans? They were devaststed.
One Troy sorority took to Twitter to watch the final seconds, and the video went viral for the girls’ emotional rollercoaster all in the span of about 5 seconds.
Ouch.
Brice completed 22 of 34 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns.
Watson completed 23 of 37 passes for 302 yards with one interception for the Trojans.
