Replay has since been obtained on that night and it shows the floor giving way to cause his injury.
The floor buckled underneath Bacot when he injured his knee. Unfortunate situation for him and his UNC teammates. NCAA needs to make sure this doesn’t happen again.#MarchMadness #UNCvsKU pic.twitter.com/JGCuLnt6Gc

“Yeah, I mean, I thought I made a good move,” Bacot said after the game, via Inside Carolina. “I thought I really got the angle I wanted. I thought it would have been an easy basket. And then I just rolled my ankle as I was going up and then, I think we were down like two points. It was a 4 on 5 and I was trying to get back to do whatever I could, even if I was just contesting a shot or do whatever.
“But I really struggled. I really couldn’t put any weight down on my right leg. And I don’t know, right then and there I probably knew I was done at that point.
The Tar Heels led by 16 points late in the first half before Kansas made a huge turn in the second half.
Bacot finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
