Rashee Rice Is Seeking Legal Representation Following A Major Crash

Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, has hired a lawyer after a car registered in his name was involved in a crash, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

The incident, which police stated involved six vehicles, was attributed to a street race, and the driver of Rice’s car reportedly fled the scene. It remains unclear if Rashee Rice himself was the driver during the crash.

Florio mentioned, “That creates potentially significant consequences under Texas law. So it’s smart for Rice to retain counsel — especially if he was driving the car at the time of the crash.”

According to reports, the crash occurred in Dallas following a race between a Corvette and a Lamborghini in the far left lane. Both drivers lost control, resulting in the Lamborghini hitting the center median wall, causing a chain reaction crash with four other vehicles.

Rice is suspected of driving the Corvette, while the Lamborghini driver also left the scene, as per police statements.

As of now, there is no information regarding any charges against Rice or other drivers involved.

“The drivers of the Corvette and Lamborghini fled the scene without providing any information or checking if anyone involved needed medical attention,” reported Yahoo Sports. “Police do not know whether Rice was actually involved in the crash, though he is suspected to be the driver of the Corvette.”

Rashee Rice, aged 23, is coming off an impressive rookie season with the Chiefs during their Super Bowl victory, where he recorded 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. He also set a rookie record with 26 postseason catches.

“TMZ has released photos of a group leaving the scene. Additionally, video footage of the individuals walking away from the crash has emerged,” Florio mentioned. “The crucial question remains whether Rice was the one behind the wheel.”
