Lane Kiffin is never one to shy away from the trash-talk. And it was at it once again after his Ole Miss Rebels defeated the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday.
It was a hard-fought battle between the two SEC clubs, but in the end it was Lane’s boys who pulled out the 31-28 victory. And afterwards, the winning coach took a clear and direct shot at his counterpart.
When asked what he’d be dressing up as with Halloween right around the corner, Kiffin hilariously replied, “Maybe Jimbo [Fisher] has a joker outfit for me.”
For those who don’t get it, that was clearly Lane’s way of calling the Texas A&M head coach a clown.
With the SEC being such a heated battleground, several of the coaches have a certain level of animosity towards each other. And let’s just say that the level is especially high between Kiffin and Fisher.
Kiffin spoke about it after the game, admitting that the trash talk provides him with extra motivation ahead of these contests:
