Appalachian State defeating No. 6-ranked Texas A&M, 17-14 was just one of many upsets on another interesting Saturday in college football.
Texas A&M entered Saturday ranked sixth in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. Any playoff hopes it had coming into the season may have evaporated with this loss.
To make matters worse, Texas A&M paid App State $1.5 million to come out for the visit.

App State will look to keep the good times rolling as it faces the Troy Trojans on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 2:30 p.m. CT in Boone, North Carolina.
