After departing from the Titans, Mike Vrabel is anticipated to shift to a role within the NCAA, as he was unsuccessful in securing a job in the NFL despite his previous success and reputation.
Despite numerous interviews with teams in need of a coach, Vrabel was not able to secure a head coaching position in the NFL, leading to his likely move to a college football program.
Wisconsin Badgers head coach Luke Fickell has indicated that he has been in communication with Vrabel about the possibility of joining his staff in some capacity, expressing his willingness to support his friend during this challenging time.
“He sounded like a new man. I’m not sure of his plans for the future, but I know that we’re going to have a visitor here who will spend time with us starting in the spring and beyond, hopefully getting involved and spending time around us,”
While the specific role has not been disclosed, it is likely to involve providing guidance and advice due to the longstanding relationship between Vrabel and Fickell.
