Sevyn Banks was penalized for targeting during the game against the Auburn Tigers. That became a footnote to him being motionless on the ground.
The LSU Tigers cornerback was injured and taken off the field on a stretcher on the opening kickoff vs. Auburn.
Banks went in to make a tackle headfirst on the opening kick and did not move after making contact with Auburn kick returner Keionte Scott.

LSU was handed a 15-yard penalty after the play after a video review determined that Banks’ hit was worthy of a targeting infringement.
According to the ESPN broadcast, Banks was responsive as he was being lifted onto the medical cart. He is also being sent to East Alabama Medical Center. ESPN later reported that Banks was conscious and had movement in his extremities.
