DeJon Parker, a former San Jose State running back, was tragically found deceased in his home over the weekend.
ABC7 News reported an off-duty police officer found Parker in his South Bay home last weekend. Head coach Brent Brennan grieved the loss with the rest of the community.
“Everybody is heartbroken for Pack, for his family and for our football family here because he had a tremendous impact on everyone he met,” Brennan said.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of DeJon Packer. The San José State Football family has suffered a great loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with DeJon’s family & friends. Forever a Spartan.”

The police department stated that his cause of death remains unknown and under investigation.

Brennan called Parker a leader who “did everything right all the time.”
“Being that young and the good that he was already putting out to the world,” Brennan said, “to not have that around here and in San Jose is a devastating loss for all of us.”
