The country will never forget Bishop Sycamore and what we all witnessed in real time on ESPN.
HBO is set to produce a documentary on the fictitious Bishop Sycamore high school football team. It will be titled “BS High” and Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe have been named to direct the film, which will debut on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max in 2023.
Football fans who didn’t get enough of the Bishop Sycamore scandal last year are loving this news.
The story follows the investigation that ensued after the Bishop Sycamore Centurions, a presumed high school football team from Columbus, Ohio, took on prep powerhouse IMG Academy.
It turned into a 58-0 beatdown which had people questioning the legitimacy of the Bishop Sycamore program, and the activities of fired head coach Roy Johnson.
During the game, ESPN announcers said Bishop Sycamore had “a number of Division I prospects,” but the network wasn’t able to verify any of the information.
In addition, it was reported that Bishop Sycamore played just two days before facing IMG.
The documentary will air on HBO and HBO Max in 2023.
