We’ve seen a lot of awkward sports interviews during our time, but perhaps none of them were more awkward than what transpired between Deion Sanders and Rob Jay.
The Jackson State Assistant AD for Media sat down with the Jackson State head coach for what many were probably expecting to be just your average interview. What unfolded was anything but that, however, as Coach Prime proceeded to call Rob out for ‘not being himself.’
Rob kicks things off by asking Sanders ‘how he’s feelin’ today?’ Something about the manner in which Rob delivered the question seemed to rub Deion the wrong way, so he called him out for it.
And from there, things only got more and more awkward, to the point were it was actually difficult to watch it all unfold.
While Sanders is a very well-respected coach for what he’s done at Jackson State since joining the program, most people seemed to think he was in the wrong during this exchange. And after watching that 75 seconds of awkwardness, it’s hard to disagree.
