Deion Sanders Apologized To Colorado Fans After Heartbreaking Loss To The Arizona Wildcats

Following a heartbreaking loss to the Arizona Wildcats, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders offered an apology to Buffaloes fans.

The Buffaloes have now suffered four consecutive losses, with their latest defeat coming from a last-second field goal by Wildcats kicker Tyler Loop. This loss has brought the Buffaloes to a 4-6 record with only two games left, meaning they must win both to finish at .500.

“I apologize that we didn’t send them out right,” Sanders expressed after the defeat. He added, “We wanted to because they deserve it. They’ve been supporting the heck out of us and they’ve been showing up and showing out.”

Although there was another sellout crowd, the game ended in disappointment. Sanders acknowledged the team’s struggle, saying, “We’re so close. It’s what I told the team. But yet so far. We just simply, truly don’t know how to win yet.”

The Buffaloes started the season as the top story, achieving a perfect 3-0 record, including a standout win over the TCU Horned Frogs. However, they have since experienced a downturn, losing six of their last seven games, with five of those losses coming from top 25 teams.

Colorado will seek to end their losing streak when they face Washington State next Saturday. They will conclude the regular season with a road game against No. 18 ranked Utah on Nov. 25.
