The matchup between Alabama and Texas was much closer than anyone saw coming in Week 2 action, with the Longhorns holding the lead over the Crimson Tide for an amount of time that had to have made head coach Nick Saban uncomfortable.
With less than two minutes to play in the game, it appeared as if the Texas Longhorns had just made an incredible defensive play, but Alabama QB Bryce Young escaped a sack and ran for a much-needed first down.

Unfortunately, the replay showed that his right tackle got away with a huge hold that would’ve negated the play and put them back a few yards.
You can be impressed by Bryce Young making this play and still think Texas wins if the refs decide to either call the hold here or the intentional grounding safety. pic.twitter.com/eSLtMYF3kA

refs missed a hold on that Bryce Young run?

Great play by Bryce Young. But that’s a blatant hold on RT that gave him corner. Awful miss by officials.

Bryce Young picked up that 19 yards bc of a MASSIVE hold lol

Instead, the Crimson Tide would go on to kick the game-winning field goal.
Young, who won the Heisman just last season, could be well on his way to another.
Alabama could hang on to their No. 1 AP Poll slot for now, while Texas still has more work to do.
